Nonessential Nevada Businesses To Shut Down For Next 30 Days

In an effort to stop the spread of COVID-19 in the state, Governor Sisolak has instructed nonessential businesses to close for the next 30 days. Only essential services are to remain open in the state of Nevada. Those include:

  • Fire Departments
  • Police Departments
  • Transit
  • Health Care Services
  • Business that provide food, shelter, or social services to disadvantaged populations
  • Pharmacies
  • Grocery stores
  • Drug & convenience stores
  • Banks & financial institutions
  • Hardware stores
  • Gas stations
  • Restaurants - only serve food via drive-thru, delivery, take out, or curbside service

Non-essential services include:

  • Beauty shops
  • Barber shops
  • Nail/tanning/waxing salons
  • Gyms
  • Casinos
  • Community recreation centers
  • Clubhouses
  • Movie theaters
  • Malls
  • any business that brings together groups should not be open
