Last night the new owners of SLS Las Vegas made the announcement that the Sahara name is being brought back to the Las Vegas resort as part of a $150 million renovation. The original Sahara opened in 1952 and ran for nearly 60 years before closing in 2011. The property then reopened in 2014 after a massive renovation. The latest change brings the Sahara name back to the Las Vegas Strip and honors the history of the property.
