Have you ever thought about learning how to shoot a bow? Now is your chance to learn at theClark County Shooting Complex Archery Range! After learning these basic skills you will have a chance to test your skills and shoot using the Genesis bow. The Genesis bow fits almost everyone's style of shooting!

Never shot a bow before? Learn the basics of the ancient art of archery from a ranger. All equipment will be provided, please do not bring your own equipment. Please wear closed-toe footwear and bring a hat, sunscreen, and water. This program is open to anyone aged nine or older. Join park staff on a ranger-led hike to the moon-lit heights of Sandstone Canyon, and beneath the star-lit eaves of the park’s three-hundred year old ash tree grove! Participants will glimpse what creatures come out at night, and see how nightfall transforms the Spring Mountain escarpment. This hike is about two miles long, and will cover rocky, uneven terrain. Please dress appropriately, wear closed-toed shoes, and bring water and a flashlight. This hike is appropriate for children ages seven and older. Dogs are welcome, as long as they are on a 6 foot or shorter leash and under control at all times. This event does not require a sign up or reservation and will start promptly at 4 p.m.
