The latest stretch of I-11 opened today in Boulder City. Dubbed the "Boulder City Bypass", this new road will shave off several minutes of drive time for people going between Las Vegas and Arizona who do not need to stop in Boulder City. This bypass will also relieve the congestion along state route 93, where it goes from Boulder City Parkway to the Great Basin Highway.
The new stretch of road features a scenic parking area with art deco architecture, a sculpture celebrating the workers of Hoover (Boulder) Dam, and wildlife crossings and underpasses.
