  • Join a nature guide to discover some of the best places to walk and discover the local beaver in the Nature Preserve. No dogs. Be prepared to walk two miles or more. All ages welcome. Free. Advance signup required.


Build Your Own Covered Wagon at Old Las Vegas Mormon Fort

  • FREE (museum admission $3, children 12 & under free)

  • Prepare for your journey across the west - using popsicle sticks and construction paper you can build your very own covered wagon!


20th Annual Las Vegas Dance in the Desert Festival at Summerlin Library

  • Join us as we celebrate the triumphal twentieth anniversary of the Las Vegas Dance in the Desert Festival! Contemporary concert dance artists from across the country and beyond converge with local dance makers in the heart of Summerlin for this happy encampment of new dance performances and master classes. A production of LVCCLD, the New Dance Foundation for the Arts, Inc., Nevada Arts Council, and the National Endowment for the Arts, the Festival "promises to be highly accessible and more than a little fun." Las Vegas City Life.


Nature Tales at Clark County Wetlands Park


Adult Watercolor at Clark County Wetlands Park

  • Learn techniques for capturing the beauty of the park in watercolor. Adults age 18+. This month we’ll be exploring Feathers & Nests in our art. All supplies provided. Free. Advance signup required. Registration opens on the first day of the month.


Lee Canyon Cornhole Tournament at Lee Canyon (Ski & Snowboard Resort)

  • $20 per team (if you want to enter)

  • Come up to Lee Canyon and escape the blazing Vegas heat to join us for a fun Cornhole Tournament on Saturday July 28th at noon. Format will be bring your own partner doubles, cost is only $20 per team and cash payouts to the top 5 teams. Register onsite, the morning of, from 11:00am-11:30am with tournament starting at noon. (Cash payout amounts depend on number of teams entered)


Summer Family Program at Nevada State Museum: "Desert Seasons"

  • Museum/Springs Preserve admission

  • Seasons change, even in the Mojave Desert! Learn about the unique features of each of the four seasons. Kids of all ages are invited to join us in the Education Room on Saturday afternoons from 1 to 5 pm to enjoy hands-on, drop-in activities. Families can explore Nevada topics through demonstrations, activities, and art projects. No registration is required, and programs are free with regular museum admission. 


"Just Dance" Party at Green Valley Library

Garden Class: Herbs & Spice at Springs Preserve
