Thousands are without power after dozens of power poles fell along Boulder Highway last night. The downed poles, a result of the one of the storms that rolled through the Las Vegas valley last night, have caused Boulder Highway to be closed. It is estimated that the road will be closed all day today (July 20th) so please avoid the area.
UPDATE #1: Southbound lanes of Boulder Hwy could open at noon today.
UPDATE #2: Southbound lanes remain close as of noon today (Friday). Northbound lanes may be closed for up to 3 days.
