Archery At The Ranch at Spring Mountain Ranch State Park

- Feel the electrifying “twang” of a bowstring. Experience the anticipation as your arrow hangs in the air between you and your target. Watch the smile bloom on your child’s face as their arrow sinks into the bullseye! Spring Mountain Ranch State Park offers archery target shooting programs that conform to National Archery in Schools Program safety standards. We provide all the equipment and training; you only need to bring your curiosity and a sharp eye! No prior archery experience is necessary. This program is recommended for everyone ages ten and older.

Astronomy in the Park at Mt. Charleston with Las Vegas Astronomical Society

- Beat the heat of the Las Vegas valley and join us for a free Astronomy in the Park stargazing event at the beautiful Spring Mountain Visitor Gateway on Mt. Charleston. The public will be able to view through the telescopes of volunteer members of the Las Vegas Astronomical Society for free. We'll be able to show you Jupiter, Venus, and the first quarter Moon in our telescopes, as well as brighter galaxies, nebulae, and star clusters (and a just-rising low-hanging Saturn at the tail end of the event if it clears the mountains). It may be mid-June but you should still pack a jacket since temps drop quick on the mountain when the Sun goes down.
