Las Vegas Drenched In Overnight Rainstorm

For the first time in quite awhile, Las Vegas was hit with a great rainstorm on Monday night! With the much needed rain, the Las Vegas valley was also given an amazing lightning storm. As with any major rainstorm that comes through, the valley also saw a lot of flooding! Check out some of the social posts below for some amazing lightning videos as well as some of the flooding that happened around town. What a crazy night!

So glad we decided to go up the Strat Tower even though it was storming like crazy and the power went out right before we got on the elevator, it was worth it! Got this right before we left. Slowed it down a bit. So pretty! @cmarcellais #Vegas #LasVegas #Vegasrain #lightningstorm #sopretty #slowmo

Crazy flash flooding behind the Linq and High Roller tonight. Monsoon rain/thunderstorm came out of nowhere.

First thunderstorm of the 2018 Summer monsoon here in Las Vegas! 🌩🌬 Lots of wind and lightning and thunder, but still no rain yet at least where I am. After this lightning strike with the thunder almost immediately after it, I went back inside! 😮 #NVWX UPDATE: now it's raining, and the temperature has dropped about 25 to 30 degrees Fahrenheit!
