Clark County is cracking down on illegal fireworks and you can help. They have created a website, www.ISpyFireworks.com, which is designed to help you easily report illegal fireworks in your area. The form asks for the optional fields of what type of firework activity you observed, your name, phone number and email. You can report anonymously if you prefer. The second step of the form is selecting the area you are in, either by entering an address or clicking on a map provided on the website.
Those caught with illegal fireworks can be fined up to $1,000 in addition to disposal costs.
Fireworks that are allowed in Clark County are considered "Safe and Sane" and are the types of fireworks found at stands that have popped up around the Las Vegas valley. If you are unsure as to whether your fireworks fall under the "Safe and Sane" label, look for a seal such as the one below:
There have been a lot of questions about what are legal "Safe and Sane" #fireworks. If they have this label - they are legal.
