Discovery Children's Museum opened up their Eco City yesterday, in partnership with the Raiders. Student winners of the shovel design contest were at the opening of the new Kids Construction Zone exhibit, where kids can get a better understanding of the stadium groundbreaking, the jobs involved and give a "Hands-on Stadium Construction & Sustainability Lesson". The partnership was one of several community outreach and partnership initiatives the NFL team have made with Las Vegas since it was announced that they are moving to our city. Last month the team was also here in Las Vegas on the third day of the NFL Draft, where they made their picks from Nellis Air Force Base, with local student athletes.
