Local Las Vegas Residents Celebrate "Take Your Kids To Work" Day

April 26th is "Take Your Kids To Work Day" and many around Las Vegas celebrated by bringing their children to work with them. Several workplaces hosted special events for the children, including special demonstrations, crafts, projects, and STEM events.

The day was originally started in 1992 in New York.  It was originally called "Take Our Daughters To Work Day" but was changed to "Take Our Daughters And Sons To Work" in 2003 (although most companies that participated in the program had included boys from the beginning).  The day is also often referred to as "Take Your Kids To Work Day" or "Take Your Child To Work Day" and is a great way for children to see what their parents do during the workday.
