Raiders Will Make Day 3 Draft Picks From Nellis Air Force Base

The Raiders just announced that they will be in Las Vegas on April 28th, making their day 3 NFL draft picks from Nellis Air Force Base.  This is the second time the team has been in Las Vegas for the NFL Draft.  It was announced that the team will be moving here for the 2020 NFL season, following the completion of the new Raiders Stadium at I-15 and Russell.  On day 3 of last year, the Raiders made their picks in front of the "Welcome To Fabulous Las Vegas" sign.

This year the day 3 NFL picks for the Raiders will be announced from the Thunderbirds' hangar at Nellis.  Members of the Thunderbirds, Nellis airmen and former Raider Greg Townsend will be announcing the player selections.

The team also announced that youth and high school football players will be representing the team during their Round 6 draft picks - this marks the second year in a row that youth football is represented during the NFL Draft.  These young football players will be the children of military members stationed at Nellis.  Day 3 involves 7 total picks, which includes rounds 4, 5 and 6.
