Pop superstar Taylor Swift showed her support for her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, breaking the franchise's all-time touchdown receptions record on Wednesday (December 25).
Swift, who didn't attend the Chiefs' Christmas Day win against the Pittsburgh Steelers at Acrisure Stadium, liked the Instagram post shared on the team's official account congratulating Kelce.
"If you ever can’t find Travis, chances are he’s in the end zone. Congrats, @killatrav!" the Chiefs wrote.
Kelce caught a 12-yard pass from quarterback Patrick Mahomes in the fourth quarter for his 77th career touchdown, surpassing Pro Football Hall of Famer Tony Gonalez's previous record of 76 set during his 12 seasons with the Chiefs, which he tied six games prior.
Gonzalez, who spent his final five seasons with the Atlanta Falcons and ranks second all-time among tight ends with 111 career touchdown receptions, shared a message congratulating Kelce on his Instagram account, which Kelce re-shared on his own Instagram story.
"You'll always be the greatest to ever do it!!!" Means the most Tony!" Kelce captioned.
Kelce also caught his 1,000th career reception during Wednesday's victory. The three-time Super Bowl champion now ranks 14th all-time with 1,004 catches made in 12 seasons.
Kelce famously revealed that he attempted to give Swift a friendship bracelet with his phone number when he attended her concert at Arrowhead Stadium prior to their relationship in 2023. Swift later said that the three-time Super Bowl champion "very adorably put me on blast" when he acknowledged the situation on his New Heights podcast, which she said "was metal as hell" while being featured as Time Magazine's 'Person of the Year' in December 2023.
