Nevada is a pretty cool place to live. The state is filled with opportunities for outdoor recreation and is a top destination for fun things to do.

The state even seems to have its very own language that people outside Nevada just don't understand.

Here are 5 words that only Nevadans understand:

1. Slot Zombie

This term refers to a person who is addicted to gambling so much that they lost touch with the outside world.

2. Spaghetti Bowl

This is the freeway interchange that look like a spaghetti bowl when looking from overhead.

3. Pogonip

This word refers to dense, frozen fog. It's really a Northern Nevada thing.

4. Burners

This is used to describe all of the people who attend the Burning Man festival that's held in the Black Rock Desert.

5. Chapel

This basically just refers to all wedding venues, and Las Vegas definitely isn't a stranger to weddings.

6. Ghost Towns

This seems like a phrase only used in movies, but Nevada actually has tons of ghost towns. These are just spots that have been forgotten and abandoned.

7. Gold

Nevada may be known as "The Silver State," but it actually houses about 79 percent of all of the gold in the entire country.
