Cobain's Mom Remembers The First Time She Heard "Smells Like Teen Spirit"

To celebrate the opening of the new “Growing Up Kurt Cobain” exhibition in Ireland, some of the most important women in the Nirvana frontman's life have sat down for a new interview.

Kurt's mom sister and daughter had a chat discussing their collective memories of him, which included a cool story from his mother Wendy. Wendy discussed the first time she heard the band's biggest hit "Smells Like Teen Spirit," and how she knew it was going to be BIG! She even says she found herself worrying if he was ready for all the fame that was going to come along with the track.

This is a really great interview with great stories told, and definitely worth checking out!
